Fellow Pear-shape and helpless coffee addict

If it can be cut, stitched, pressed, and worn, I’ve probably tried it! I’m a lifelong maker with an obsession for vibrant colour palettes, sumptuous textures, and the absolute magic of turning a length of flat fabric into something extraordinary.

My studio is my happy place—a sewist’s haven filled with overflowing button jars, towering fabric scraps, well-loved sewing books, and bolts of textiles waiting for their moment. Add in the satisfying swish of sharp scissors, the steady, rhythmic whir of my sewing machine, and a steaming cup of coffee nearby, and I’m right in my element.

Why Aletheia Patterns Was Born

For years, I loved the process of sewing, but struggled with the fit. Like so many pear-shaped women, I found myself constantly fighting against commercial patterns that just weren’t drafted with my curves in mind. Adjusting, grading, and settling for garments that didn’t turn out quite right took away from the joy of the craft.

I created Aletheia Patterns to change that.

This line is designed especially for pear-shaped figures, taking the guesswork out of grading between sizes.
