Returns and Refunds

Due to the nature of digital products, Aletheia Patterns does not offer refunds or exchanges for PDF sewing patterns, SVG files, or other digital downloads. Memberships and subscriptions are non-refundable. All sales are final. Please review product descriptions, specifications, and memberships carefully before making purchases.

Copyright

All patterns, tutorials, images, and supporting materials remain the intellectual property of Aletheia Patterns. Any unauthorised reproduction, distribution, or commercial use is a breach of copyright and will be pursued.

Intellectual Property

  • All content on the Aletheia Patterns website, including text, graphics, logos, images, SVG files, PDF’s, and patterns, are the intellectual property of Aletheia Patterns and are protected by copyright laws. You may not use, modify, reproduce, distribute, or transmit any content without prior written consent.

Accuracy and Usage

  • All sewing patterns, including descriptions, sizes, and instructions, are checked for accuracy, excellence, and value and are kept up-to-date. However, it cannot be guaranteed that all information is error-free or information and instructions complete for your needs. It is your responsibility to make sure that you have the necessary skills, tools, materials, and time to successfully complete garments & projects utilising Aletheia Patterns.
  • Final results while using Aletheia Patterns can vary widely based on individual sewing skills, fabric choices, personal fit preferences, and other alterations made. Specific outcomes or fit cannot be guaranteed.

License Options & Permissions

Personal

All Aletheia Patterns, tutorials, instructions, videos, and any other digital files are for personal use only and are protected by copyright. Without an additional commercial license, only a personal usage license is permitted.

Allowed Usage

  • Printing personal copies for your own use
  • Making gifts for friends, family, and others
  • Limited sales by individual sewists (e.g. a home-based maker selling occasional handmade garments at markets, Etsy, or Facebook) are permitted, provided:
    • Each garment description clearly states: “Made with an Aletheia Patterns sewing pattern.”
    • Production is on a small scale (i.e. sewn by you personally, not mass produced, outsourced, or factory-made).
  • Please purchase a commercial license for additional usages

Restricted Usage

  • No reproducing, sharing, or distributing patterns, tutorials, files, or instructions in any format–either digital or print
  • No lending, selling, or gifting digital files or printed copies
  • No changing, modifying, or replicating patterns, instructions, and files and then selling as your own
  • No developing a business, boosting your business, or creating revenue from patterns, instructions, or other downloadable files outside the Allowed Usage

Commercial

Purchasing an Aletheia Patterns file does not grant a license for commercial or manufacturing use. Commercial licenses must be purchased and are valid for stated quantities on each license. Each file must have its own seperate license.

  • Utilise the pattern, instructions, or files in a course or workshop (Can be used to teach an online workshop, but each student must purchase their own pattern or file download)

Restricted Usage

  • Selling any part of Aletheia Pattern images, files, videos, or other downloads as your own work
  • Selling items made from Aletheia Patterns’ intellectual property, including SVG files, instructions, and other downloads, as part of a brand, clothing label, or larger commercial business is not allowed without the appropriate applicable commercial license
  • Replicating, modifying, or copying any image, files, or instructions as your own
  • Distributing the patterns, instructions, and file downloads

The Aletheia Patterns site may contain links to third-party sites that are not owned or controlled by Aletheia Patterns. Aletheia Patterns has no control over, and assumes no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third party sites or services. It is strongly advised that you read the terms and conditions and privacy policy of any third-party site that you visit.

Changes To Terms & Conditions

Aletheia Patterns reserves the right to modify, replace, or add to these Terms and Conditions at the sole discretion of Aletheia Patterns. Continued use of the Aletheia Patterns site after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms and Conditions.

Please review these Terms & Conditions periodically for changes. If you do not agree to any of these Terms & Conditions or to any changes, do not use, access or continue to access the Site. Discontinue any use of the Site immediately.
